  • According to a recent report, parts for the rumoured Apple PC Slate Tablet device have are now being shipped, this includes the touchscreen panel with the aluminum casing shipping next month. Latest news suggests that this latest Apple gadget will be launched in the second quarter of 2010.
  • According to news.com.au, AVY Precision Technology, TPK Solutions and Wintek Corp. are the three companies trusted with the manufacturer of the touchscreen panel. We are not certain who will be producing the cases, but they will start shipping some time in February.
  • Once all of the components have been delivered it will not take long for them to be assembled, which is when the work of the software department comes in. This is one of the things that we do not know much about, but we recently reported that the Apple Tablet could run on the new iPhone OS 4.0.
  • CES 2010 has now come to a close, but looking back it is no secret that this year will be about the tablet. This was evident in the unveiling of a handful of such devices from HP, Lenovo, Sony and others. We had assumed that Microsoft would launch their Courier device, but they chose to back the HP tablet device.
