supercross ABA 2010 updates

Finally in the process to Boulder City to make the ABA/UCi Pro Race and Redline Cup West Finals. Block pulled off the impossible along with jerseys created for everyone in 2 days, make a few moments Custom Team Jerseys, call Omar and Juan, as soon say they're going to complete the job, they mean it! Along with never to be out done, Ray from Fly got us a large box of Pants and helmets so everyone will be fresh for just a weekend. Watch out for photos on Twitter starting tomorrow.

Kenth and Bubba are out to dinner after practice, Courtney is already back chilling in the hotel , haven't been told by Dani yet, and I just got done hooking up the new Road Warrior, after 5 years and 250,000 miles it was time to retire the old Dodge today, tons of memories from that beast, the BMX adventures in that thing could make a good book, but today we start off a new chapter, and I am looking around for AJ as we get ready to pull out, where are you sunshine, time to make some new BMX history!!

And while we are looking for AJ, we heard today that some of you are looking for Kris Fox, well this week look no further than the Perris Fairgrounds as Kris is doing shows with the rest of the Supercross Freestyle team, Matt and Joey Cordova, Larry Edgar and the lost one himself, Aaron Johnson. Kris is having fun rampin the jawn and shredding it up for a ton of little kids. Don't worry, he hasn't gone anywhere, jsut liek always he is having fun on his little bmx bike. Isn't that what we all do??

Anyways, keep your eyes on the Supercross Twitter bar to the left for updates this weekend.

Oct. 14th, 2010

It's the season of change. The end of the race year always gets crazy, rider changes, sponsor changes, some sites live and thrive on the drama, well a few big changes around here as of late, first we would like to thank No Fear for 2 great years of sponsorship for our Factory Team Uniforms. Phil and the crew really made it nice for the team and really went out of thier way to make sure that riders felt and looked Pro, but for the 2011 Season and beyond, we have partnered up with our long time Distributor FLY Racing, to keep the Factory Team looking good and protected on the track. Below is a artist rendition of the gear that the team will be using for 2011.

The team is ecstatic to be wearing FLY, Ray and Matt always have great track support and are genuinely pumped and involved in BMX and that keeps the riders motivated at the track to see that the sponsors are there and pumped on BMX, and FLY is pumped on BMX.

Now the next one may come as a shock, as I know it was a bit of a shock to us, but Samantha Cools, who has been with Supercross since 2002 has decided it was time to try something new. We have been working with the Cools family for 18 years, ever since we sponsored Ken when he was a 13 expert that ripped. I still remember the night in Del Mar where John and I spoke about bringing Samantha on to the team. That next year, she went out and won her Junior UCI World Titles, not just class, but she doubled, class and cruiser.
The next year she took her first ABA #1 Pro Title, and then she backed it up with the 2005 #1 Pro Title in both ABA and NBL. Then the Olympics came calling and she stepped away from the ABA and NBL Title chases to concentrate on the goal of Olympic Gold. Moving to Switzerland to live and train. She has made alot of changes in the pursuit of her goals. And I am proud that we have been there to help in any manner we could to try to help her achieve her goals. Now as we are moving into 2011, Samantha has decided that after her 8 year Pro career with us it is a time for a change. 8 years is a long time in BMX, some of said it is 4 times the lifespan of a normal BMXer to be in the sport, we wish her well with whatever path she decides to take, maybe somewhere down the road the paths will cross again. We wish her nothing but the best on her journey.
