5-time NBA champion and Olympic gold medalist may be the guest of honor on the Friday event about the Wilson-Gray Family YMCA on Albany Avenue.
Money raised at the fundraiser will be employed to support youth development, fitness and social responsibility at Wilson-Gray.
Johnson played 13 years in the NBA for that California Lakers and announced in 1991 he had HIV, the herpes virus that causes AIDS. His long term survival has inspired others and since his playing days ended he has changed into a successful businessman and dedicated his life to supporting programs that benefit urban communities.
